We are pioneering in the MedTech field by applying advanced AI and automation to ophthalmology images, allowing for advanced, non-invasive, disease detection. As a senior machine learning engineer, you will be at the heart of our operations in Melbourne, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly. Responsibilities: • AI Model Development: provide day to day leadership of the ML team in the development of advanced AI models aimed at addressing real-world medical challenges. • Academic Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between the industries and academic institutions, fostering collaborative research initiatives. • Quality Management System (QMS): compliance of company quality policies as a the QMS to ensure the adherence of products to a high-quality standard. • Clinical Trial Support Provide support in the planning and execution of AI product clinical trials, contributing to the validation of the technology's effectiveness in real-world medical scenarios. • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy plan for the AI product line, aligning technological advancements with business objectives and market needs. • Collaborative Development: Collaborate with fellow developers and designers within the team, fostering an environment of shared learning and delivering technically robust solutions. • Cultural Influence: Foster a culture of excellence in code quality and design choices, ensuring that the development team consistently produces high-quality, maintainable code. Key Selection Criteria: • Tertiary qualification in relevant field (e.g. software engineering) is required, relevant postgrad studies are expected (e.g. master or PhD in relevant AI field). • Industry experience: Demonstrated 3+ years of industry experience in developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models. • Model Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of a variety of machine learning models, including but not limited to CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks), RNN (Recurrent Neural Networks), and Transformer models. • Deep Learning Libraries: Experience in working with deep learning libraries such as Pytorch or TensorFlow. • Programming Skills: Demonstrated programming skills in C++ or Python, with a focus on creating efficient and maintainable code for machine learning applications. • GPU Cluster Experience: Experience working with GPU clusters, demonstrating the ability to optimize and scale machine learning workflows for improved performance and efficiency. • Linux Scripting: Experience in Linux scripting to develop and implement scripts for automation, integration, and overall system enhancement is highly desirable.
