The Group: The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) is a central service provider for Morningstar, including a central data system of collecting, storing, consolidating, normalizing, calculating, and distributing Morningstar’s high-quality data and capabilities to internal and external consumers. EDP is both data provider and business enabler. The individuals in this group enable faster business growth, better scale, and improve customer experience by maximizing full commercial and brand value of data sets in their entirety.
The Role:
Join us as a Product Manager in our Enterprise Quality team, where you'll drive improvement of end-to-end data manufacturing process, ensuring ownership and quality control that delivers outstanding results for our clients. In this pivotal role, you'll lead initiatives across the entire data journey, enhancing client experiences through rigorous quality management and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive and detail-oriented analysis of incidents, quality issues, and/or client concerns to effectively identify and address root causes, ensuring thorough resolution and prevention of recurrence.
• Lead or manage enterprise-wide quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational excellence and ensuring high-quality data to our clients.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and operational risks, facilitating smooth project execution from start to finish.
• Innovate and refine quality controls to catch errors that matter before they reach our clients.
• Partner with teams across the organization, including customer success mangers and support teams; data content, operations, and quality leaders; and product and technology leaders, to investigate issues and drive improvements.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in data science and/or analysis, with 3 years of quality improvement. Proven success in managing end-to-end projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of data lifecycle management, with a strong focus on enhancing data quality and flow.
• Proficiency in quality management methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Exceptional collaborative skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams comprising engineers, data analysts, executives, client support, etc.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
