Responsibilities:
• Installation and Maintenance:
• Install, inspect, and maintain various types of air conditioning systems, including split systems, central air units, and ductless systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with AC systems to identify and implement appropriate solutions.
• Repair and Replacement:
• Conduct repairs on malfunctioning or damaged components, including compressors, condensers, and thermostats.
• Replace faulty parts and components to restore the functionality of air conditioning units.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary replacement parts and equipment.
• System Testing and Calibration:
• Test newly installed or repaired AC systems to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Calibrate thermostats and other controls to achieve accurate temperature settings.
• Evaluate and adjust refrigerant levels for optimum efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Generate service reports and provide accurate documentation for customer records.
• Communicate effectively with clients, explaining work performed and providing recommendations for system optimization.
• Customer Service:
• Interact professionally with clients to address inquiries, provide information, and offer recommendations for system improvements.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations to address critical AC system issues.
Qualifications:
• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized HVAC or refrigeration technician program.
• Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience in air conditioning system installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient knowledge of AC systems, refrigerants, and electrical components.
• Familiarity with various types of air conditioning units and their unique specifications.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Certifications:
• Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 Certification and HVAC/R Technician Certification.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical positions, including bending, kneeling, and crawling.
