Job Description for: Test Technician
Reports to: Production Manager Department: Production
Immediate Supervisor: Lead Test Technician Exempt/Non Exempt: Non-Exempt
Shift: 1st shift 8AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday)
Duration: Permanent Fulltime (40 hours) a week.
JOB SUMMARY:
A rapidly expanding company supplying high efficient turbo blowers to waste treatment plants and other industries is seeking a Test Technician / Field Service Technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Install Units into test cell and attach required test equipment.
· Programming of VFD’s and PLC’s.
· Perform Testing of Packages and Cores.
· Trouble shooting electrical systems as required.
· Monitor and record test data using computer-based software.
· Report test results to Supervisor.
· Assist in assembly and shipping of units as required.
· Installation of Variable Frequency Drive, Sinus filter, Input reactor
· Installation of controller assembly, MCCB, Terminal Block
· Installation of Wire harness for power and control line
· Installation of harmonic filter
· Stripping, terminating & routing of cables & harnesses
· Rework & customization as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
1. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
2. The candidate must have strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical Drawings.
3. Ability to use hand tools and strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Be able to work within all departments in a professional manner supporting other staff as needed.
4. The candidate will be dedicated to achieving project schedules and milestones and the ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player.
5. The candidate must have a strong attention to detail. Be able to work with minimal supervision.
6. The ideal candidate will work in a safe and conscious effort to comply with safety policies and good manufacturing processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a manufacturing assembly with typical shop hazards. Prescribed personal protective equipment will be required to include eye protection, safety shoes and hearing protection in designated areas.
