We have a new Contract opportunity with a major oil and gas client for a Senior Project Engineer (Civil). The position will be based in Dubai, UAE- working 5 days per week, office based. The high-level scope of the project consists of: Upcoming Civil Projects • New Central Control room • New staff accommodation for 200 people • One building (canteen, training facility) • Plant Security Gates • Other building (workshops, sub stations etc) Objectives of the role: • Project manage the civils projects. • Strategic in identifying the best building solution and understands UAE requirements when it comes erecting new buildings. • Manages and optimises the project between Client and civil contractor. • Maximize project efficiency and deliver on time and safely. • Identify project responsibilities, delegating to the appropriate personnel. • Working with the onshore discipline engineers to develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation. Responsibilities • Involvement in all phases of the civil projects (Concept design phase, Schematic design phase, detailed design phase, dealing with the authorities, construction) • Develop Design Criteria for building specifications. • Work with designated designers to develop optimum building designs. • Review tender documents. • Supervise the onsite construction. • Manage the interface of all subcontractors. • Review tender documents. • Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met Oversee budget, schedule, and quality Report on progress as well as on any emerging issues that could significantly affect cost or Schedule • Maintain a project risk register. • Ensure completion of operation readiness deliverables • Required skills and qualifications: • Experience • Experience in project engineering, project management • Proven track record of managing civil projects in the oil and gas industry. • Experience in onsite management • Familiarity with processes for engineering change request (eCAF) Preferred skills and qualifications: • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related field • PE (Professional Engineer) qualification Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
