Working for a leading global marketing company based in Sydney's CBD, I'm looking for a data engineer who can design, build and maintain scale-able and reliable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Sydney CBD (max 2 days per week on site)
Salary Range: $150k - $170k + super
You will work with various data sources and formats, such as structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, and apply best practices to ensure data quality and integrity. You will also collaborate with data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders to deliver insights and solutions that meet business needs.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with GCP services, such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and BI tools (Tableau in particular)
- Knowledge of data governance, security and privacy principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field
