Job summary
The Production Manager role is responsible for planning and scheduling work scopes.
They also manage Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
They act as a focal point between the Workshop, Sales, Project, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities
• Plan and schedule work scopes requiring workshop operations involvement.
• Collate equipment and components for each job.
• Procure mounting kits, control systems, and associated components.
• Liaise with vendors for external scopes and inspections.
• Assist with final Goods Outwards inspections.
• Ensure workshop schedules are current and identify delays or issues.
• Conduct weekly production planning meetings.
• Conduct QHSE Monthly Inspections.
• Manage external audits on behalf of the company.
• Raise and track progression of NCRs.
• Resolve QHSE related project issues.
• Manage insurance claims for damaged material.
• Maintain Calibration Schedule.
• Maintain Equipment Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
• Update Monthly QHSE Statistics.
• Lead and record all QHSE observation cards.
• Drive HSP Values and Vision.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production engineering.
• Proficiency with computer-aided scheduling systems.
• Minimum 10 years’ production planning, scheduling, and control experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• High regard for respect in the workplace.
• Familiarity with short interval shop floor scheduling and kitting.
• Ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Bill of Manufacturing/Materials structures and routings.
• Knowledge of Production and Purchasing functions in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Strong understanding of entire flow of production from raw material to finished goods.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of Signage standards and specifications.
