This company is an innovative and rapidly growing European-based company gearing up for a transformative expansion into the United States. In the process of registering its inaugural entity in New York, the company is poised for a momentous product launch in Q4, marking the beginning of its venture into the US market. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Cloud to lead our cloud strategy and infrastructure initiatives as a cornerstone of our technology foundation.
Position Overview:
As the Head of Cloud at you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud architecture and strategies for the US market launch. Operating in a hybrid model, you will lead a talented team to establish and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. This role is expected to go live, and the recruitment process will commence late in Q2, aligning with business needs and timelines, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the successful product launch in Q4.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Strategy and Architecture:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with business objectives, leveraging leading cloud service providers.
• Architect and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure.
Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of cloud engineers and architects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive excellence in cloud solutions.
Infrastructure Optimization:
• Implement best practices for cost optimization, performance tuning, and resource utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud infrastructure efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
• Establish and enforce robust security measures for cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the design and operation of cloud services.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and security, to align cloud strategies with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in a leadership role focused on cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated services.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance, and data protection in cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing and inspiring technical teams.
Important Note:
This role is expected to go live, and the recruitment process will commence in late Q2, aligning with business needs and timelines. The product launch is targeted for Q4, although all dates are subject to adjustment based on evolving business requirements.
