We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading initiatives from ideation to productization, with a strong background in industrial research, particularly in the autonomous driving industry.
As the Computer Vision Expert, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and data scientists in designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining a range of Computer Vision and Machine Learning proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and minimal viable products (MVPs).
Requirements:
• Experience leading initiatives from idea to proof of concept (POC) to minimal viable product (MVP) to supporting productization efforts.
• Demonstrable industrial research experience including patents and high-impact research publications.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role with experience managing team members working on related projects.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning and computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Tflite, AI models quantization for edge devices, and deployment in web and mobile (on/off device) environments.
• Strong C/C++ experience for low-level programming.
• Deep learning optimization for edge devices and smartphones.
• Experience with object segmentation, annotation, labeling tools as part of AI computer vision projects.
• 5+ years of experience in the autonomous driving industry.
• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
Role:
• Lead a team of Computer Vision engineers/data scientists, primarily working in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain Computer Vision and Machine Learning PoCs/MVPs, including identity & document verification, image processing, object detection, and tracking systems.
• Validate and ensure compliance of data acquisition, annotation/segmentation/labeling, and AI/ML pipeline + surrounding infrastructure.
• Take a fully hands-on approach towards problem-solving at each stage of the project development.
• Architect upcoming projects, develop technical requirements, decompose tasks, prioritize, assign and control execution, optimize team efficiency.
• Provide progress reports to the project director on a mid-quarterly and quarterly basis.
