We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Full Stack Software Engineer. Principal Responsibilities • Responsible for the Payment Screening projects delivery to meet the business requirements within the agreed schedules • Conduct the system development, SIT, UAT, implementation and post-release activities with clear documentation supplemented • Provide the application support to production and work with business users on the queries in the production application • Work directly with various stakeholders (Product Owners, IT, and Operations) across multiple geographical locations (UK, HK, China, India and other ASP countries) to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the rollout to the whole Asia Pacific • Establish a good relationship and work collaboratively with Global / Regional system owner and support teams • Ensure strict adherence to group policy, group compliance of all internal controls and external regulations Requirements • Bachelor or above degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline, with equivalent experience in software engineering discipline • 2-5 years system/application development and support working experience • Solid technical skills in Linux, Cloud and Oracle platforms • Proven technical experience on shell scripts, WebSphere, MQ, Kubernetes, API, Java, Springboot would be a strong advantage • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools such as Git/GitHub, G3, Jenkins, Maven, etc. and monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk • Familiar to production support processes like Change, Incident, and Problem management processes • Proven knowledge in Banking Payments Processing and Sanction Screening would be a strong advantage • Capable of working under pressure and effectively managing priorities to meet tight timelines • Experience in collaborating with global teams of different time zones • Experiences in leading and coaching less experience team members would be an added advantage • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Cantonese; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences • Candidates with Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) would be an advantage You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
