Since its launch in 2018, Gener8 has been at the forefront of the “open data” movement: the belief that people should be able to understand, control and be rewarded from their data. Gener8’s consumer products include a web browser, browser extension, iOS and Android apps. Our products enable people to transparently and willingly share their data with Gener8, whilst preserving their privacy, so that we can create value from it for them.
We are growing fast. With more than 300,000 new app downloads over the past few months alone. Every month our desktop browser racks up the equivalent of 250 yrs in time spent browsing on it.

About The Role

Our innovative approach - led by our relationship with our users and powered by cutting-edge AI technology - means we are poised to disrupt the data market. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the development of our B2B data products.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Product Manager within the b2b data team, you will play a pivotal role in defining, iterating and executing our product strategy. You will work closely with the cross-functional team to develop and deliver data and insight solutions that meet the needs of our B2B customers - and drive dramatic growth in revenue for Gener8.
This role is suited to an ambidextrous product manager with
• both technical focus and capability - working closely with developers, data engineers and data scientists
• but equally capable working with the sales team and our cross market customer base on defining, iterating and delivering a meaningful and differentiated value proposition, and ensuring the roadmap is most impactful to meet user needs and optimize revenue.
You will be as comfortable scoping API’s, creating data pipeline metrics and working the team on technical data solutions - as you will be in sales meetings, working to understand the users core needs, and finding product market fit. This role requires a strong understanding of data technology and the ability to bridge the gap between technical development and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product roadmap in alignment with the company's vision and objectives
• Market Research: Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, competition, and customer needs in the B2B alt data industry.
• Customer Insights: Gather, process and analyze customer and sales feedback to continuously improve our products and services and glean insight on the most impactful sequencing of the roadmap.
• Technical collaboration: work effectively with development, engineering, and infrastructure teams - as well as data science and research - to ensure technical feasibility and successful product delivery
• Data Science Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists and/or research teams to leverage data insights in product development
• Third-Party Collaboration: working with third parties as part of product development, including integration and partnership efforts
Requirements
• You are entrepreneurial in nature, excited by the idea of building something from an early stage and have experience getting a product to product market fit
• Proven experience as a Product Manager in a technical role, preferably in a B2B and/or data-focused startup or company.
• Data Proficiency: Strong understanding of data technology, data analytics, and data-driven decision-making. An understanding of the technical aspects of data products, including data pipelines, databases, data modelling, and data integration. Strong technical proficiency to be able to effectively communicate with both development teams and technical client personas
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients and partners
• Proven ability to establish working relationships with development, engineering, and infrastructure teams and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams to achieve product goals
• Experience working collaboratively with data scientists and/or research teams, who build machine learning models
• Experience supporting product marketing on communication of a pre product market fit value proposition
