Title: Java Enterprise Architect
Location: Chicago, IL - Day 1 onsite role (3 days a week)
Candidate has to be 70% architect and 30% coding as he will do code reviews so should be hands on.
Need backend microservices API Springboot candidate for this role.
Job Description:
• From a development requirement experience like cloud/ RabbitMQ are good to have for long term growth with Opus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Java Developer with Java 11 and above implementing enterprise-level Java applications.
• Extensive experience with Spring framework and knowledge/ experience working with State Machines.
• Experience with Hazelcast or any other distributed caching solution.
• Experience with socket programming over TCP/IP networks in Java.
• Experience with Test Driven Development practice with focus on extensive code coverage, running SonarQube scans and fixing vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of payment systems and industry standards, with the ability to integrate payment solutions.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge/ Experience in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with event driven microservices architecture leveraging messaging platforms like RabbitMQ.
• Certifications in Java and relevant cloud platforms are a plus
