The role: produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets
Responsibilities will include:
• Apply knowledge of statistics, hypothesis testing, programming, data modelling and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to product improvement.
• As required, use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
• Generate and test hypotheses, analyse and interpret the results of product experiments.
• Estimate and measure the impact of work done across the portfolio against key product and business metrics.
• Work with engineers to ensure correct instrumentation of features within products that allows you to draw user behaviour insights
Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor or Master degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics, econometrics, or computer science)
• 8+ years of experience in data roles as a Data Analyst/ Scientist
• Experienced in using SQL on large datasets and programming languages such as Python and/or R for analysis, Big Data tools such as Hadoop or Databricks, Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau.
• Ability to understand business problems and apply an appropriate methodology for investigation.
• The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and call-to-action recommendations.
• Tech industry experience will be viewed as highly desirable
