The Database Administrator role is a permanent opportunity and is situated in White Plains, New York.Major responsibilities- Handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all database instances across development, staging, and production environments- Fix database service outages when they happen, which can include after hours and weekends- Monitor for deviation in baseline system performance, and advise on and execute improvements to slow running queries- Verify that SLA objectives for database server topology, configuration, and maintenance are met in design and execution- Provide guidance on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues- Reduce false alarms to a minimum by configuring database monitoring utilities- Determine the best way to improve performance, whether through hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
