Job Description: Senior/Staff Software Architect
We are seeking an experienced Staff or Senior Software Architect, reporting into our Co-Founder/Chief Product Officer. As a Senior Software Architect, you will help lead the architectural design and development of our fintech products. With strong engineering expertise and being a technical leader; you will be involved in managing the entire system design architecture, including the transaction system.
You will:
• Lead complex software development, and design system architecture and solution to improve and scale up existing software products
• Ensure software development is robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs
• Think deeply about technology and architecture choices in your domains, communicate trade-offs
• Create technical requirements and software design document in a professional manner
• Become the in-house, leading expert in the software requirement and design of the software platform
• Contribute directly to high and low level design, and able to participate in coding and software development
• Work closely with product managers, designers and engineers across multiple teams
• Align engineers across teams on key technical decisions by understanding complex domains and systems
• Collaborate with other stakeholders within and outside the engineering team in the design and organization on org wide platform, process and technology choices.
• Initiate and lead technical projects and changes to existing processes, that will improve the quality of our codebase and systems, reduce technical debt and improve our developer productivity.
• Mentor engineers in the organization, imparting technical knowledge, industry best practices and leadership skills.
• Build deep product and business domain knowledge in all Youtrip/Youbiz products
• Eventually build out architecture team and function for the company
You have:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• More than 10 years proven experience in the technical domain
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure software architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products and systems including high-volume transactions
• Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
