CoreFactor is searching for a Front End Developer on a contract basis for a client in the GTA.
This position is hybrid and will require the successful incumbent to come into the Toronto office two (2) times per week.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 2+ and Adobe Content Manager (AEM) or similar.
As a Developer you will primarily be responsible for implementing client facing content.
You will be contributing to the development of world-class digital products and experiences touching millions of customers every day.
Requirements
From a Development Perspective
• A University or College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
• You have 4 or more years of software development experience, (conceptualization, design, development and debugging). You have the ability to understand and interpret design and requirements documentation.
• Sound technical knowledge with: HTML, SCSS, CSS, JSON, XML JavaScript
• Some Angular 8(+) is an asset but not required
• An understanding of accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards
• Responsive design and development
• You use code versioning tools, such as Git
• Agile team and JIRA experience
• Knowledge of Computer Science concepts (SOLID, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• You’re passionate about well-designed products and not afraid to sit with our Design Team to prototype, wireframe, and white-board your ideas
From a Quality Engineering Perspective:
• 3+ years proven experience with manual testing
• 3+ years of experience with SDLC and TDLC
• Accessibility Testing
• An understanding of accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards
• Working knowledge with Java, JavaScript, and Python and other scripting languages that support creating or enhancing automation test scripts preferred
• Working experience in test planning / bug tracking tooling such as with JIRA, X-Ray, HP Quality Centre/ALM, or equivalent
