Turning Passion into Purpose. The School of Engineering at London South Bank University (LSBU) are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) in Electronic and Software Engineering with a particular emphasis on the development of emulators and subsequent hardware demonstrator systems in the 5G Telecommunications and Power network convergence space.
This full-time 14 month post is part of a 24-month prestigious Network Plus award from the “Sustainability of urban systems and infrastructure” Network Plus call.
The project titled “A green, connected and prosperous Britain” led by LSBU, partners with Imperial College London, University of Essex and the University of Sussex, industry and end users groups to investigate the first integrated whole system modelling with a focus on the applications of telecommunication improvements to support green, resilient and flexible power networks.
The successful applicant will join a team of different skill sets (Optimisation Modelling for network power and QoS thresholds, 5G/6G expertise and end user technology understanding) to develop these models. The Network Plus is part of a large group comprising academia, industry and end user groups, bringing placements and mentoring opportunities for the successful applicant and PhD students who engage in the network.
