We are looking for someone that has extensive experience in Game Design, specifically in MMORPG and MOBA genres paired with deep interest in Blockchain Web3 Technology. We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Game Designer who would help us guide the team and supervise the design of gameplay systems and online mechanics of our new project. An ideal candidate would be an all-rounder who can both manage and mentor a team of game designers as well as roll up their sleeves to create design specs in order to deliver high quality and engaging gaming experiences. Establishing formal design documentation and tools for the project is a key responsibility of the Lead Game Designer as well as ensuring optimal team performance. Responsibilities: • Work alongside the Product, Engineering and Creative Departments to design the Gameplay Experience for a brand new MOBA that incorporates blockchain into its economy. • Directing the Gameplay Design of the project and coming up with innovative and fun mechanics in accordance to the desired game direction. • Managing and mentoring the Game Design Team • Guidance in translating the overall game vision into implemented functionality. • Use Community feedback and metrics to make decisions and refine your team's work • Pitch creative ideas for new features, gameplay mechanics for current and future projects • Be the advocate of good design practices across the studio • Ensuring that the overall gameplay experience is carried through from conceptualization to completion in the highest possible quality • Maintaining design documentation for the project Requirements: • 10+ years of professional game development experience as a Game Designer. • Proven success in creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics in at least 2 AAA games on PC, Mobile or Console. • Experience in supervising a Game Design Team • A deep love of video games • Effectively communicate level design direction, requirements and deliverables • An expert in all aspects of MOBA and MMORPG gameplay design • Excellent Written and Spoken English communication skills. • Expert and Holistic understanding of Game Metrics and Key Performance Indicators • Practical experience working on live games serving large player communities • Collaborative spirit and love of teamwork Bonus Points: • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience • Excellent ability to structure the work of the Game Design Team. • Passion for playing MMORPGs and MOBA games • Interest in Cryptocurrencies, Web3 and NFTs Benefits: • Competitive Salary (Location Dependent) • Employee Stock Options • Flexible PTO • Full Remote and Location Independence Perfect Storm Studios focuses on Games, Video Games, Mobile Games, and Blockchain / Cryptocurrency.
