Job Title: Sr. Devops Engineer
Location: Dubai & India
Job Role:
• Senior DevOps Engineer typically has a deep understanding of version control systems, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD), as well as proficiency in scripting and coding to automate tasks. Setup and manage deployment pipelines, ensuring that code moves smoothly from development to testing to production, followed by monitoring and logging.
Key Accountability Areas
• Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions and ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices, taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Promote the implementation and adherence to relevant policies, processes and operating procedures to others
Dev Ops
• Hands-on with AWS EKS production system, deployment methods, various Helm Charts methods.
• Platform configuration using Ansible for development and debugging analysis
• Experience with any scripting language – YAML, Shell etc.
• Infrastructure as code (must have, we expect you to be familiar with Terraform/CloudFormation + Ansible + Code Deploy ~ Hands-on).
• Configuration management with Ansible (must have) or Puppet (nice to have)
• Working understanding of code and script (JAVA )
• Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies.
• Database configuration and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, etc.)
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK stack etc
• Familiar with scripting languages – Shell script, Python etc. (must have)
• CDN Edge/Origin network knowledge with regards to caching policies (must have)
• Ensuring the security and compliance of the software delivery process by implementing security best practices, conducting vulnerability assessments, and maintaining compliance
• CI/CD Implementation using Jenkins, GitLab’s, etc.
• Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm (must have)
• Experience with Datadog, Site24x7, Grafana, monitoring tools.
Education and Experience
• Relevant experience in AWS EKS production system, various EKS, Helm Charts, Ansible –configuration- development + debugging
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology or equivalent is required
