Role description
RSM is a
leading professional services firm with over 5000 staff and over 30 offices in
the UK. Due to an upcoming
transformation project, Project Acorn, a Test Manger is required to define and
lead the project test strategy and approach.
Project
Acorn is a large, multi-year transformation programme which aims to replace and
update our existing HR and Finance systems with Workday.
The responsibilities are
varied, but will include:
Responsibility for:
• Creation of project test strategy and approach for Project Acorn.
• Facilitation of test review meetings, feedback sessions, triage meetings during phase execution.
• Management and orchestration of SIT, UAT and ORT test phases for Project Acorn.
• Tracking and reporting of system and integration defects throughout the project.
• Ensuring the successful resolution of different user acceptance of with the software development and deployment teams to help to deliver new releases to the firm.
• Setting up and facilitating test entry and exit review milestone.
• Creation of necessary test documentation including test strategies, test approaches, test scenarios, test case specifications, exploratory testing charters, test logs and defects reports, RAID, status reports.
• Working with the Project Acorn project team to identify testing issues that could impact project scope and/or time-frames.
Candidate
This role is in an agile
team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders so excellent communication
skills are essential. The right candidate will be experienced in the functional
and regression testing and have end to end integrated testing experience
gathered working on large scale transformation programmes.
Essential skills:
• Recent experience of leading the test strategy and approach on a large-scale ERP implementation.
• Test professional with excellent knowledge of test methodology, testing techniques and approaches.
• Experience in the creation of technical test documentation for multiple test phases including SIT, UAT and ORT.
• Experience in delivering testing as part of a large-scale transformation project.
Desirable skills
• Agile (Scrum or Kanban).
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
• SQL Server (or any other DBMS).
