Role
We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to work within Kaplan Professional who will be the testing expert in charge of checking and improving our platform. You will work closely with tech teams, business partners, and others to lead testing for updates, new features, and fixes.
Your job is hands-on, making sure our Ontrack product meets high standards every time we release something new. You will create testing plans, scripts, and reports to guarantee everything works as it should. You will also team up with our offshore testing crew to make sure our automated tests run smoothly. Before we test anything, you will make sure the testing environment and data are set up correctly.
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will also help with Post Implementation Verification testing and contribute to improving our testing processes and plans. If you love making sure software works perfectly, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities
• Define UAT test plans for each release of the software
• Develop user acceptance test (UAT) test scripts, set up test data, schedule test, execute UAT and regression test scripts
• Report on the testing progress to technology and business stakeholders
• Create risk mitigation plans that can be invoked should risks be realised throughout testing which may have an impact on the release of software
• Create a list of milestones and checkpoints on testing progress including setting measurable criteria to monitor the quality of delivery
• Set processes for test plan reviews and ensure that test plans get reviewed by all stakeholders
• Coordinate resources to support testing for each release
• Define quality and testing standards, plus reporting, metrics for Ontrack product development
• Work with all stakeholders to ensure that quality metrics are reviewed, closed, and agreed upon
• Establish strong stakeholder relationships across the Program and project teams, with business stakeholders, the supplier and with external subject matter experts
• Provide SME test leadership to offshore vendor in reviewing and prioritising regression test automation work
• Log defects and conduct defect triage with appropriate business and technical stakeholders
Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Test Analyst/Test Lead working in agile delivery model (essential)
• Possess hands-on QA, Integration testing and UAT testing and be willing to collaborate, get involved and problem solve
• Successful track record working in organisations of varying maturity levels across technology and business-related projects
• Experience working in an agile software development environment (Waterfall/Agile, Hybrid), with comprehensive understanding of testing and quality assurance methodologies
• Robust knowledge and ability to design and document testing frameworks and processes
• Requirement Traceability Matrix knowledge and understanding as to how to maintain and ensure test coverage is met
• Experience in the planning and review of technical testing and automated QA testing solutions
• Experience working with business resources and coordinating cross-functional resources in a testing environment
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders in both strong interpersonal written and verbal communications
• Knowledge of/experience with Release Management, CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Robust experience with Jira and Confluence
• ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, CAST, CMSQ, TMMi, qualifications or equivalent testing certification
