An excellent opportunity has opened up to drive data and AI governance initiatives across APAC for one of the world’s forefront financial institutions. Working closely with senior management across the organization, you will develop a comprehensive data governance framework while implementing AI ethics guidelines. You will act as a reliable partner and shape the data governance agenda working with the organization’s data owners, stewards, custodians and consumers.
Role
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework:
• Develop and implement AI ethics guidelines and standards that ensure the ethical use of AI in data governance.
• Ensure that AI-backed data governance tools and technologies are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain data governance metrics and reporting that track progress and ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
• Assist with data governance audits and assessments to identify and remediate areas of non-compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain deep knowledge base of existing and emerging regulatory requirements, and management of regulatory interactions.

Qualification & Core Skills Requirement
• 10- 15 years of data governance experience within investment banking/ financial services
• Up to date with relevant laws and regulations regarding data and financial services firms’ obligations; includes managing and co-ordination regulatory engagement on data matters.
• Deep Insights in data governance frameworks, policies and guidelines, encompassing data standards, metadata management, data quality, data stewardship, and data protection.
• Deep working knowledge of data management technologies (data catalogue, data quality management), enterprise and Cloud technologies and associated internal governance and regulatory requirements.
• Good at stakeholder management with great communication skills to ensure that the federated model works in the data management framework implementation and adoption
• Train and mentor teams and internal business units and stakeholders on data management framework requirements, improvements and operationalization.
• Proven experience in driving senior engagement and ongoing organisational adoption of enterprise data management framework, policy, guidelines and standards.
