Description
Department/Job Overview:
• The client's CFO CDO function is responsible for ensuring the consistent application of the Data Management Framework across the CFO functions. The Data Management Framework (DMF) defines the capabilities required for consistent and effective data management across the group.
• CFO CDO works with the CFO line functions to identify critical data elements used in our key regulatory and financial reporting outputs and drive and monitor compliance with the expected standards across data ownership, data controls and data quality. This is underpinned by regulatory expectations, for example as detailed under BCBS 239 and other regulatory edicts.
• The CFO Data Governance team partners with the CFO line functions to determine appropriate data ownership, and that their responsibilities documented in the DMF are fully understood, and complied with.
• The team also ensure that data is appropriately catalogued in the firm’s data management tool (Collibra). This details transparency on ownership of critical data, the flows that exist between systems, where data is mastered, and data delivery agreements between systems. This is key to understanding the data lineage into our key regulatory outputs. Data ensure the client is compliant in Data Governance as required by regulatory commitments across BCBS 239, CUSO and CFO Data Under Governance
Key Responsibilities:
• Partnering with the line teams across CFO globally to ensure appropriate ownership of our critical data elements.
• Partnering with the line teams to ensure that the UBS Group Data Management Framework is understood and that any variations to the CS framework are complied with.
• Ensuring integrity, completeness and accuracy of all CFO data captured in Collibra, and the maintenance of the data object framework and data glossary.
• Monitoring and remediation of all exceptions identified in the data captured in Collibra.
• Partnering with Change programs, and other initiatives, to assess and validate the impact on Data under Governance.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
• Proven experience in delivery management in a financial institution
• 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: data architecture and data governance, business analysis, project management
• Managing senior partners and summarizing presentations
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to define and apply logical approaches to issue resolution.
• Data analysis skills using Excel, and SQL and proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data lineage and process mapping and awareness of data management tools e.g. Collibra or similar applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding team player with strong communication and leadership skills to engage with relevant partners/colleagues collaboratively across all levels.
