Overview: Valence Consulting is working with an innovative and leading firm in the entertainment and financial services sector. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer, ideally with music royalty experience, to join our client's dedicated team This position is REMOTE and can be based out of New York City, White Plains (NY), Nashville (TN), Wilmington (DE), Boston (MA), or potentially elsewhere on the East Coast. With a team of over 600 staff members across multiple international offices, they pride themselves on delivering comprehensive financial services in various creative and performing arts. Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (IT, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) • Minimum 7+ years of experience in data management and programming. • Proficient in Python (Pandas, ORM, sqlalchemy, OS, logging, urllib, Numpy, Matplotlib). • Expertise in SDLC methodologies and implementation. • Strong experience in ETL processes, SQL Server, PowerBI, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel. • Proficient in SQL-based data manipulation and Microsoft SQL Server. • Familiarity with IDEs, especially Visual Studio Code. • Royalty audit or music administration experience. • Testing experience. • Familiarity with Beautiful Soup, SciPy, and Scikit-learn. • Advanced database design and schema construction knowledge. Job Description: The Senior Python Developer will assist in managing and simplifying complex data issues within the music data team. Responsibilities include: • Managing large music data volumes. • Designing, developing, and implementing data processing systems. • Cloud development and integration. • Developing automated data processing solutions. • Integrating API functionality from third-party providers. • Acting as a liaison between departments for software and database solutions. Other Qualifications: • Advanced mathematical and accounting principle understanding. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams
