My client is a well-known business from the insurance industry and they are currently looking for an IT Director who has a strong track record in digital transformation/change management and overseeing the planning, execution, and management of IT programs and portfolios across the business.

• Work closely with the senior business stakeholders from other departments to define, align, and deliver the IT strategies, roadmap, policies, budget and action plans, etc.
• Lead a team of 7 and act as the key thought leader in the team for overseeing the productivity
• Lead and oversee change management processes to ensure the smooth implementation of technology initiatives and to effectively communicate and convince the business teams of the need for change during the digitalization progress
• Research new technologies and utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple tech areas to provide technical oversight and solutions that can improve operational efficiency
• Participate in team/3rd party vendors' performance management and ensure the delivery will be on time and the quality can meet the agreed SLA
• Review and manage manpower, budget, and timeline based on project priorities
• Attend strategies and planning meetings with the leadership team and other senior stakeholders to serve as a subject matter expert and suggest workable solutions for the business needs
skills & experiences required.
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science/Business Administration or related discipline
• Minimum 20+ years of experience in the IT field and specializing in digital transformation/change management/IT program management/portfolio management; insurance background (either in-house or through a tech consulting firm/service provider) is a must
• Sound knowledge of multiple digital domains/cross platforms from front office to back office including but not limited to customer-facing web or mobile application development/business applications (such as CRM)/infrastructure/public cloud/digitalization/e-Commerce etc.
• 10+ years at the managerial level is highly desirable
• Strong experience in managing both onshore teams and offshore teams/external resources is preferred
• With a strong business sense and ability to communicate and influence senior stakeholders at all levels translating technical ideas into simple language effectively

• Experience in planning and developing the annual budget, timeline, and manpower
• Good understanding of the best practices and standards in the insurance industry would be advantageous
• Good interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• PMP/SCM Certification is a plus
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese OR Mandarin) is a must
