Job Description Join us as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase, within our Consumer and Community Banking's Core Platform Engineering Team. As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking's Core Platform Engineering Team, you will take on a leadership role. Your responsibilities will include providing technical coaching and advisory to multiple technical teams, anticipating the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. You will also be tasked with creating design patterns, leading design, and architecture, promoting modernization, and encouraging the team to produce the best possible outcomes. Additionally, you will manage workstreams, prioritize tasks, and shape the technical product vision. Job Responsibilities • Provides overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks. • Makes decisions that influence teams’ product designs, roadmap alignment and feature delivery. • Ensures successful collaboration across product and technical teams and stakeholders • Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary. • Provides input to leadership regarding design, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team. • Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritize diverse representation. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills • Formal training or certification on software engineeringconcepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise. • Experience in creating and leading technical product vision and strategy. • Ability to lead the engineering aspects of complex migration projects to AWS, other public or on-prem private cloud providers. • Experience in developing cloud native solutions leveraging IaC, Containerization, DevOps methodologies to enable consumable engineered patterns. • Hands on experience with Java or Python • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers. • Experience in driving teams to deliver high-quality software products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills • Experience working at code level. • AWS Certification is highly desired.
