Title: QA Manager - 2+ years of managing a team of 4+ Location: Remote in Central Time Zone (MST or PST will not be considered Salary: $120-130K + Bonus No sponsorship available The QA Manager will provide oversight and input to all aspects of quality assurance, including applying best practices, developing new testing solutions and methods, and establishing metrics. They will drive the success of the business by ensuring high-quality product delivery to both internal and external customers. The qualified candidate will possess a continuous learning mindset, be self-motivated, be able to work autonomously, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This position also may require occasional after-hours support. This position will report to the IT Application Development Leader. Occasional travel to the corporate HQ will be required. Responsibilities • Lead a QA engineering team consisting of on-site, remote, and offshore resources while fostering a culture of communication, collaboration, and learning. • Perform team management functions including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management. • Continuous Improvement – Help define, improve, and implement test processes and tools. • Test Management – Ensure effective and efficient application of test processes and tools using techniques such as White box, Grey Box, Black box, Test-to-Pass, Test-to-Fail, and automation. • Responsible for management and coordination of all testing activities on assigned projects including definition of testing approach, test effort estimation, progress and status reporting, training and education on QA processes and tools. • Create test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports. • Manage UAT testing with the business team, assisting with creating test plans, coordinating execution, measuring, and reporting results. • * Responsible for QA of releases, including post rollout smoke testing. • * Ensure accuracy and accountability of Quality Initiatives. • * Communicate and track quality issues, risks to product delivery, and gaps in coverage. • * Participate in the Agile development process by contributing to daily standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives. • * Perform other duties or tasks as assigned. Requirements • * 7+ years of QA engineering/analysis experience in a software product environment. • * Demonstrated proficiency in business requirement and user acceptance criteria analysis, decomposition, test case and test plan design, risk analysis and mitigation, and test documentation and traceability. • * Experience with a variety of testing tools and types of QA testing such as regression, smoke, security, integration, usability, etc. • * Experience with technologies such as .NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, and an understanding of data. • * Knowledge of the Agile software development life cycle and concepts of software engineering. • Strong teaming skills, professional attitude, enthusiastic, collaborative, and approachable. • Analytical, inquisitive, and innovative with excellent attention to detail. • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Note: Knowledgeable of Project Management tools like JIRA, and Azure DevOps. Familiarity with DevOps best practices and automation of documentation, testing, build, deployment, configuration, and monitoring. Solid troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques.
