The Role
The role of Principal Software Engineer on the Wallet team at Fidelity will involve working closely with engineers from across the organization, providing a great opportunity for collaboration and learning from diverse perspectives.

• To build resilient services in Java, it's also essential to implement error and exception handling techniques that can identify and recover from unexpected errors, including retry and timeouts
• Experienced in database administration with a strong command of SQL language
• By adopting microservice architecture and twelve factor app patterns, developers can create applications that are both more resilient and easier to update over time
• Establishing sturdy software that can endure an unreliable context
• By automating unit and integration testing with JUnit, developers can save a significant amount of time and effort
• Experienced in developing and deploying applications using automated deployment tools and continuous integration pipelines, like the Jenkins Core
• End-to-end solutions can only be constructed through the use of critical thinking
• Eagerly desirous of learning and mastering the latest frameworks and technologies to enhance skills and stay ahead of the game
• Possesses a good understanding of both team dynamics and independent work structures, ensuring user satisfaction remains the main priority in both situations
• Possessing impressive skills in analysis and communication, while also being adept at managing multiple tasks at once
• Take an active role in engineering practices like reviewing code and designs, creating environment solutions, and optimizing build and deployment procedures
• Displaying precision and attention to detail in managing tasks and projects is a hallmark of effective organization skills
• Candidates who are proficient in AWS and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker stand out
• Candidates with experience working with SNS and SQS messaging services that are designed for resilient workers are desirable
• Possessing knowledge of the Bitcoin and Ethereum protocols is advantageous
