Client: The client is one of the leading business travel management companies in the UK, helping corporate and government clients organize travel for their teams.
The program was started two years ago and will continue for the next couple of years. The program is growing: new streams are planned to be launched starting next year.
Within the project we are building a complex API-centric travel management solution from scratch following a cloud-native approach, using microservices architecture and modern technology stack.
The client: - uses the Scrum framework for the project; - has an ongoing robust and collaborative requirements management process; - has reliable and transparent delivery planning; - uses modern, technologies and DevOps processes to allow for scaling and reduced time to market.
• Position overview: We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our team to manage multiple environments, control and support the infrastructure, and collaborate with engineers on the client's side. You will be responsible for assisting with deployments and maintenance by using a large stack of technologies.
• For this role, we will require the candidate to satisfy UK Government Security Vetting to SC level as the position requires access to sensitive information of the client's customers which are both private and governmental companies. The candidate must be prepared to undertake this process, examples of checks undertaken include but aren’t limited to:
• criminal record,
• credit history,
• employment history,
• time spend abroad.

• Responsibilities: Control and automate various systems
• Provide L2 support for the system
• 2+ years of experience administering server systems (Linux)
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks
• The ability to configure and administer cloud services (Amazon AWS: EC2, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, RDS, ALB, Route53)
• Basic knowledge of using CI/CD systems (TeamCity)
• Skills in administering database servers (PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with administering/using monitoring systems
• Responsible team player
• The ability to solve technical problems on the server/network/ equipment/DB/service/etc. side
• Nice to have: Basic knowledge of .NET, microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Git
• Broad knowledge of the IT field
• Good communicator
• The ability to work in a team and fast self-learner
• Travel industry experience is nice to have
