City of London Permanent £60,000 - £75,000 per year • Greenfield project • Grow your role & career exponentiallyAbout Our Client As part of our newly established Data Governance Team, you'll work within the EMEA Data Office, covering all EMEA entities and datasets, including Securities and Banking subsidiaries. Our goal is to create a robust framework for mapping, populating, and governing data across EMEA, with aspirations for collaboration on a global scale. By joining us at this early stage of our exciting journey, you'll contribute to driving data-led transformation throughout the bank. Job Description You'll be part of a dynamic team of seven individuals, with ambitious plans for significant growth over the next 18 months. Your responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of data governance strategy and policy, driving the implementation book of work, ensuring accurate and reliable data, and collaborating with various stakeholders across divisions and regions. • Support the implementation of the data governance strategy and policy • Drive the Data Governance implementation book of work and develop the pipeline • Drives the data definition, governance and lineage aspects 'end to end' for prioritised Use Cases • Responsible for monitoring changes to business data requirements and ensuring that change and release management activities are executed for the data domains • Contributes to the firm's objective of meeting industry regulatory expectations with respect to the data governance program as well as establishing processes that generate accurate, complete, timely and reliable data • Work with Local Data Officers and teams across the Division on the development and implementation of data standards and adoption requirements for EMEA Data • Participates in the various data governance and program forums to advance the robustness of the Bank-wide data governance framework • Collaborates with business, compliance, technology, and other groups to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined and communicated as part of initiative prioritisation and planning • Support the investigation of Data Quality Issues, development of remediation plans and recommendations to fix at source • Ability to establish consistent contact with all teams to provide updates, stay on track and report risks and issues timely with proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholdersThe Successful Applicant The ideal candidate must have sound and functional knowledge of trading products within a banking environment, (derivatives/equities/contingent products) etc. Domain knowledge is crucial and above governance experience. However, to excel in this role, any expertise in data governance, data quality, metadata, analysis, and data management tools will carry a significant advantage. Your analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate workable solutions will be essential. Stakeholder engagement, enterprise-wide thinking, and a confident manner will contribute to your success. Experience with transaction and product data and knowledge of data governance practices and regulatory requirements are highly desired.
