About The Job Assistant Network Manager Department : Technology and Digital Reports to : General Manager Technology and Digital Role Introduction You will be a key member of the KTSP ICT team initially working as part of the project delivery team whilst also being involved in complex design workshops to facilitate the smooth transition towards the operational commencement date of the precinct. You will be responsible for designing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of the precinct to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role will include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of the new network plus the ongoing support and maintenance of the network infrastructure. Once we achieve operational commencement the role will evolve and youll be involved in the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure and services. You will work alongside the Service Delivery and Service Desk Teams, as well as the wider ICT Department to effectively support and administer the full lifecycle of the network infrastructure operations, services, projects, and initiatives. This is a unique role where youll get to shape the network infrastructure design and then continue the journey within this exciting environment working with event owners to overlay their requirements across the three venues making this world class facility a huge success globally. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain the Network Infrastructure Work Plan, and the delivery of the Continuous Service Improvement Plan • Take proactive ownership of network infrastructure operations and services • Liaise with third parties and vendors. • Take ownership of monitoring and managing networking related tickets. • Create and review change requests to support project delivery and operational change • Lead on network infrastructure related security, maintenance, performance, capacity, and lifecycle management • Contribute to creation and maintenance of design, end-user, and operations documentation sets • Produce reports on network infrastructure operations, services, and major incidents • Maintain network monitoring and reporting systems • Deliver training and skills transfer to team colleagues • Maintain effective security and governance of the network infrastructure • Ensure effective backup, resilience and DR arrangements are maintained for network infrastructure Requirements • Bachelor's degree or above in Computing or related discipline • 5+ years experience in Huawei routing and switching administration and operations, dynamic routing protocols, OSPF, BGP, VPNs, QoS, 802.1x. • Excellent knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP, Wireless, DNS, DHCP, SIP, Remote Access VPN, DNS and DHCP. • Experience of mixed vendor environments, product life cycle, and technology migrations • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security policies • Assist with administering Storage Area Networks including technologies from Huawei & HPE. • Attention to detail and continuous improvement • Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Good command in both spoken and written English, Chinese, and Mandarin • Excellent demand management, planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills • Huawei HCIA Routing & Switching H12-221, H12-223 or equivalent experience • Administration and operations experience of Huawei USG next generation firewalls and Internet content filtering solutions. • Exposure to SIEM operations • Cloud and virtual networking Huawei Cloud Stack Online (HCSO ), Azure, AWS, VMware environments • Advanced troubleshooting and optimisation experience • Analise network performance and troubleshoot network problems and outages; knowledge of eSight and iMaster NCE-Campus Network Monitoring systems. • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure • Provide guidance, support and advice in respect of ICT networks, systems and services to the Senior Management Team, functional groups and teams across the business as required • Input into the preparation of a rolling multi-year plan for ICT development and improvement into the Operations Stage Full-time Personal & Application Information We are an equal opportunity employer.
