Sprout provides a full season cover of insurance for farmers that leverages satellite data and automated claims process to reduce costs. We make our products in-house and collaborate with many stakeholders that use our web platform to monitor the impact. Sprout insurance comes with a season of Sprout Alerts, weather-prompted agronomy advice sent directly to farmers' phones.
We're inviting an accomplished and forward-thinking Web Developer to take our platform to the next level, the real center of our technology. This will enable us to launch, manage and monitor our in-house insurance products across the world while allowing farmers and insurance companies access to their risk profiles and insurance details. Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the front-end and back-end components of our insurtech saas platform.
- Collaborate with the product and risk teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive and responsive.
- Design, develop, and maintain internal APIs for seamless data communication between different components of the SaaS platform.
- Work on the integration of third-party APIs to enhance platform functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall code quality.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of the infrastructure supporting the SaaS platform.
- Demonstrate empathy throughout the development process for teammates, stakeholders, users and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in successfully launching and maintaining SaaS platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to market.
- Experience with and proven skills in working with multi-functional teams
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Stack developer, proficiency in Django and Python for both front-end and back-end development strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Experience working with distributed teams
