The Role
The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager is to Generate and convert enterprise customer leads for Evie’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure related products & services. You will be required to develop, qualify and maintain strong relationships with B2B prospects, customers and potential channel partners as well as negotiate and execute sales agreements to help to achieve Evie’s revenue and margin targets.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales, your role will include:
• To build a sales pipeline of enterprise B2B opportunities that can be fulfilled with Evie products and services
• Procure and maintain relationships across government, corporate & SME fleets and other relevant channel partners. Being the principle point of contact for key accounts.
• Understand customer requirements, deployment schedules and electric vehicle transition plans
• To maintain and deliver on a forecast of sales for financial, product, and deployment planning and to prioritise sales activities in line with Evie’s strategy
• To create proposals, respond to tenders and sales enquiries
• Assemble and coordinate the bid team to create and deliver complex proposals to prospective customers and partners.
• Lead the negotiation and the execution of sales agreements
The Person
You’re goal orientated, have a sense of urgency and your nature is to challenge the status quo. Electric cars in Australia is still largely uncharted territory which means your passion to make a difference, desire to use your initiative and continuous focus on excellence will ensure your success in this new role.
What you need to be successful:
• 3-5 years experience in related industry solution sales (novated / fleet management, OEM or transportation & logistics).
• Proven ability to sell new and complex products.
• Strong commercial understanding and ability to structure commercial proposals.
• Excellent written and oral communication, teamworking, networking and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes
• Tenacious and driven to succeed in an emerging and evolving market
Prefer to have:
• Experience within e-Mobility sector e.g., Electric Vehicles, EV hardware infrastructure or ChargePoint operation (CPO)
• Bid or project management skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification(s)
Like to have:
• Energy, Solar & Battery Property or Electrical industry experience.
• Experience in Agile
