This role will be open to all candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne or Singapore.
Role Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Manager will help provide system designs, product assessments, and customer consulting to ensure the highest quality solutions are delivered by the IT organisation. Providing technical recommendations and options to management is a key responsibility. The position must also focus on keeping current on technologies important to our infrastructure and be able to provide technical leadership.
Key Role Responsibilities:
• Act as subject matter expert for Greystar Asia Pacific IT Infrastructure, including hardware, software, desktop and shared infrastructure, voice and data networks, servers, mobile and fixed telephony.
• Ensure that all components are maintained and work reliably to meet business needs and promote the effective use of new and existing technology.
• Provide first and second line helpdesk support and resolution to software and hardware systems; analyze issues and problems, determine appropriate solutions, executing resolutions; or escalate to the relevant team member as appropriate.
• Track, document, and resolve user requests and requirements utilizing the helpdesk application while working within agreed SLA.
• Participate in testing and evaluating new hardware, applications and systems enhancements, programming upgrades, and other systems and application improvements
• Support and monitor existing infrastructure, performing preventative maintenance work, backup and other regular support activities to ensure effectiveness and to provide cover on such tasks when required.
• Support and monitor the Company’s internal networks and links to regional/ global offices, other sites or the Internet, and to ensure they are configured and working correctly.
• Coordinate desktop hardware/software maintenance with customers and vendors.
• Install computers and peripherals; perform software and desktop hardware updates; and troubleshooting all PC and peripheral related problems.
• Perform one-on-one consultations to solve standard and complex problems.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment.
• Coordinate and make recommendations on the purchasing of software, hardware and other IT supplies.
• Plan and manage portfolio transition hardware and support needs using self and third party vendors to ensure the effective transfer of computer operations to Greystar operational standards.
• Direct and manage third party vendor support operations according to SLA that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Effectively communicate relevant IT related information to customers, vendors, manager and other internal stakeholders.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships.
• Gather information and reports on user support issues, trends, and other areas factors related to support issues and works with the appropriate team members to develop solutions that enable greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support due diligence related works on acquisitions and deflagging of properties and/or corporate offices.
• Coordinate and manage any changes requested from Greystar IT security teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
• Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s).
• Demonstrate appropriate safe behaviors in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/resident injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s).
• Identify areas for improvement, offer suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity, and implement ideas that achieve operational excellence.
• Keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes.
About You
• Detailed knowledge of infrastructure development including emerging Cloud technologies
• Knowledge of IT security
• Qualification or knowledge of project management disciplines and service.
• Certification or working on Certification in Networking Design, Storage, Virtualization, or Cloud technologies
• A proven track record in managing and optimising IT infrastructure aligned with IT security within property, hospitality, retail or leisure sector including budget accountability. Fast growth, acquisition and multi-site experience would be advantageous.
• Experience of current in-use infrastructure technologies including cloud, virtualization, and automation and working knowledge of servers, storage, and network design is essential
• Experience of hardware, communications and telephony developments and products.
• Adept at problem-solving taking a broad perspective to identify or participate in defining solutions
• Significant experience in managing contracts, services and external resource providers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and effectively communicate highly-technical ideas to a non-technical audience.
• Expertise of optimising systems and processes in a multilingual / currency environment.
• Detailed knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning/testing.
• A positive team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives.
• Excellent organization skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and show good judgment under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with impact and influence.
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness; an understanding the cycle of business change and the critical need to engage with stakeholders throughout changes.
• Experience with global administration of Microsoft 365 product suite including but not limited to Azure, Azure AD, Intune, PowerShell will be a plus.
• Experience with tools and technologies such as Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Kaseya, Cayosoft, Cisco Meraki will be a plus.
