We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Cloud Security Architect:
Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership:
• Lead and guide the cloud security team, leveraging broad IT expertise in server networking, software, DevOps, software security, and data/information security to address critical gaps within the division.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and implement a strategic roadmap for enhancing the security posture of the AWS Cloud environment.
• Take a leadership role in maturing the existing cloud security team, ensuring the team is well-equipped to handle the evolving challenges in cloud security.
• Security Architecture and Engineering:
• Architect and engineer robust cyber security solutions tailored to the AWS Cloud ecosystem, focusing on fully securing the environment.
• Leverage 8-10+ years of hands-on expertise with AWS Cloud tools/technologies to design and implement security solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Prioritize and implement security measures across server networking, software security, DevOps/Infrastructure, and data/information security, addressing vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Multi-Cloud Expertise and Data Lake Security:
• Extend security solutions to cover multi-cloud environments, with a preference for prior experience in Azure and/or GCP.
• Utilize prior AWS Data Lake experience to implement and enhance security measures around data lakes, ensuring the protection and integrity of sensitive information.
• Team Leadership and Communication:
• Lead cloud security/infrastructure teams, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, effective communication, and team-building skills.
• Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure the team operates in alignment with best security practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing guidance on security matters, and fostering a collaborative and proactive security culture within the organization.
• Additionally, the Senior Cloud Security Architect will be expected to bring proficiency with AWS Cloud/DevOps technologies, and a strong preference for experience with Wiz security tooling. The role requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate complex security concepts to a diverse audience and drive a culture of continuous improvement in cloud security practices.
Skills Required
• AWS Cloud & DevOps Engineering expertise
• Plus: Multi-cloud experience (prior Azure and/or GCP)
• Widespread advanced security background (cloud security, server networking, DevOps, software security, & data/information security)
• Strong plus: Wiz security tooling experience
• Leadership qualities, communication skills, and team-building capabilities
Education & Work Experience
• 10+ yrs of professional experience
• Bachelors Degree (pref. Computer Science, Information Technology/Cyber Security)
