Job scope
This is the first Backend Engineer role at a fast growing startup. Our ideal candidate will be a self driven Engineer looking to be challenged by driving and delivering software solutions and cloud technologies to the team. An individual who is looking to join and grow with a start-up company delivering innovation and disruptive technology
Qualifications And Prerequisites
• Bachelor of Computer Science (Masters Preferred) specializing in Data Engineering (backend software engineering) or equivalent
• 3 years of industry experience in Software Engineering, Data Science or Data Engineering
• Strong Python Development Skills: Proficiency in Python programming language with a good understanding of its core principles and best practices.
• Experience with FastAPI: Solid experience in developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar asynchronous frameworks, including request validation, error handling, and API documentation generation.
• Knowledge and familiarity with Postgres Sqldatabase, Web Server and Deployment, API Security, Performance Optimization
• Database ORMs and Query Builders: Experience with Python-based ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy) and query builders to facilitate database interactions and enhance code maintainability. Version Control and Collaboration: Proficiency in Git for version control and experience collaborating within a development team using tools like GitHub or GitLab.
