Our client a top financial institution is currently seeking dynamic Data Analytics/ Big Data Consultants with a problem-solving mindset to be a part of some exciting firm wide projects and initiatives.
• Lead and participate in project and enhancement, which includes analysis business requirements collaborate with team to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective IT solutions especially on Cloud Data Platform Solution.
• Provide support, guidance and liaise with internal application team, offshore resources, Group, vendors and users for development on Data Warehouse/ Big Data solution.
• Analyses user requirements, their existing system work flows and procedures.
• Conducts feasibility studies, solution design and evaluation, assists supervisor to liaise with different parties.
• Assists supervisor to prepare project documents e.g. work schedules, test methodology and review test results.
• Analyses technical issues and devises & provides cost effective solution.
• Handles enquires and provides technical support to end user.
• Provides training to upgrade IT knowledge on business and applications.
• Conducts regular evaluation on new technologies and recommends to management in order to cater for new business needs and achieve the strategies of company.
• Work with the team, including onshore, offshore and vendors, to define and evaluate new technologies, platform architecture, application design, framework & standards to accomplish the company’s business objectives. And implement it as a subject matter expert together with the team members.
• Collaborate with Business Unit(s) to analysis the business requirements and propose solutions to fulfill business needs.
• Support and maintain existing systems include problem resolving and streamline the process with the support teams.
Requirements
• University / College graduate in Computing/IT or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience at supervisory role leading team of development work
• Strong technical foundation and knowledge for Data Platform on Insurance industry is preferable.
• Experience on Big Data and Cloud solution implementation has advantages.
• Solid working experience in large scale cloud data platform implementation and preferably using Azure Cloud with architecture and / or technical lead role.
• Experience on lake house architecture using Databricks, expertise on data ingestion / ETL implementation using Databricks with experience on Autoloader, SQL Warehouse, Delta Table, ETL using Python etc.
• Extensive experience in various project implementation and support platforms
• Strong leadership and team building ability.
• Sound problem resolution and decision-making ability
• Proficient communication and consultation skills
• Coaching and technical training techniques.
