Description We are looking for a Back End Developer to join us here at the Innovation Group, playing a key part within the Software Development Team!
We are embarking on an exciting and challenging transformation programme and our software solutions are a driving force behind this strategy to deliver cloud based computing and leading-edge design and architecture to our business.
You will be working on a variety of projects within a distributed scrum environment across the UK and Spain, acting as an expert in our strategic technology platform (built in Microsoft Azure), servicing out regional and global clients within the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities Responsibilities Include:
• Developing .NET Core based Web API based applications
• Contributing to the overall design of both architecture and user stories
• Developing performant SQL database table designs and queries using Entity Framework
• Creating quality unit testing around all developed code
• Assisting in incorporating automated acceptance testing as part of the build pipeline
• Ensuring new Azure features are utilised as appropriate
• Be an active member of the Scrum team, improving process and ensuring that the team delivers on their commitment
What Do We Need From You?
Our new Developer will have at least 5 years experience using the Microsoft development stack, including .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server and Azure. Ideally, you will also have knowledge of Azure VSTS, continuous integration and automated deployment.
You will also be experienced in utilising features such as Azure web apps, SQL PaaS databases, blob storage and service bus, as well as comfortable working in an agile environment, employing scrum methodology and JIRA as a SDLC management tool.
You should possess drive and enthusiasm to build and deploy high-quality, cutting-edge software seeing you being an effective problem solver with the ability to think outside the box. As part of a global team, you will be able to work effectively with both local and remote colleagues, collaborating, motivating, and energising others.
