Job Description:
The Integration and Test Focus Factory at L3Harris is looking for an Experienced Electrical Engineering Technician. Working under general supervision the Electrical Test Technician will apply their knowledge of Electrical Technology and Electronics to engage in functional testing, verification, and validation of electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems. Test involvement will include but is not limited to test preparation, test execution, operation of custom test sets, operation of test-related equipment, recording data, and reporting data. The candidate will provide support for product testing as well as set up and integration of test equipment. This will be an on-site position as remote support is generally not possible due to the nature of the testing environment.
Qualifications:
• Requires minimum of a basic knowledge of electronics, test equipment, and software to include oscilloscopes, cables, Microsoft Office Applications, and Microsoft Visio.
• US Citizen with a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
• Ability to develop skills to execute procedures, document results, and communicate those results through the interpretation of electrical schematics, work instructions and procedures.
• Demonstrate analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Willing to work shift work including extended shifts, rotating 24/7 shift coverage, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Speaks clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Ability to be certified to IPC JSTD or comparable NASA certifications.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience working in a clean room with ESD and contamination sensitive flight hardware
• Experience with cable mate/de-mate
• Current SSBI with Polygraph
• Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline.
• Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
• Lean Manufacturing practices.
