The successful candidate will be a senior member of the FX analytics team to work on a new initiative to build out new pre-trade analytics for our Global Markets clients. The candidate will be responsible for formulating the underlying model/analytics taking into consideration benchmarks, real time market conditions, liquidity, risk and cost.

What you will be responsible for
As Senior FX Analytics Quantitative Analyst you will
• Work to understand client needs, the environment and the specifications for pre-trade analytics for FX executions include spot, forward, NDF, swaps
• Recommend ideas and suggestions for input into the road map of the new initiative. Research and formulate the models required and justify models/algorithms through appropriate out-of-sample backtesting periods and cross-validation techniques.
• Analyse large, high frequency data sets and execution data and develop research all the way from prototype to production, working alongside technology to implement the workflow and model
• Work closely with the current best execution analytics team to analyse the data and improve on existing post-trade
• Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
• Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your behaviour
• Facilitate the provision of appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision making
• Support the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture within the business

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Postgraduate degree (PhD or Masters) in Mathematics, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
• Experience developing algos and pre-trade analytics
• Strong understanding of the FX execution algo market
• Proficiency in statistical packages such as Matlab, Python or R.
• Object oriented programming skills: Java or C++.
• Strong statistical foundations
• Cross-asset exposure a plus
