Senior DevOps Engineer Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive CICD knowledge, an in-depth understanding of configuration as code, and enterprise-level experience to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. • Client: Big Five Bank • Terms: 6-month contract • Location: Currently 95% Remote Job Description: • Act as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact in helping Application teams modernize into DevOps – Configuration as Code (CaC) framework. • Collaborate with IT Operations teams to lead them throughout the CaC onboarding process. • As part of the CaC Onboarding process, assist IT Admins in converting and codifying existing Infrastructure & Middleware using products developed by the SRE Team. • Participate in the identification, investigation and resolution of errors or problems in production and non-production systems. • Setup, enhance, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipeline (Azure DevOps, Github Actions) • Collaborate closely, in an agile context, with multidisciplinary software development teams. • Develop and maintain technical support documentation. Key Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge and working experience with source code management tools like GitHub. • Highly Skilled with Python, Bash, YAML, JSON and Ansible. • Comfortable implementing and troubleshooting with git workflows. • Intermediate knowledge of Linux Server platform. • Deep understanding of the middleware technologies (WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server, Message Queue). • Intermediate knowledge and Experience with CI/CD pipeline and tools Azure DevOps, Bamboo • Basic knowledge and understanding of Atlassian tool stack (JIRA, Confluence). • Experience working in an agile environment.
