We have a Senior Security Specialist position available which sits within the Security Architecture and Assurance team within a leading Australian Financial Service organisation.
The position combines a deep technical know-how of Security Architecture as well as Governance to ensure Secure by design whilst following industry policies and standards. This role requires you to work with various teams and stakeholders at every level across Cyber, Technology, DevOps and the wider business.
Before diving into the responsibilities, it's the start of the year, and I know you must be busy. The package for this position is between 180-200,000 with a lucrative achievable bonus, as well as hybrid working from Sydney CBD.
Back to it, so what will you do?
• You consult for the first two or so years on a major flagship project (which I can share more about over an initial call with you). It is a huge transformation where you will play a key role in defining security requirements, provide security controls implementation guidance and patterns.
• Security Assurance and Risk Assessments and being able to provide guidance around the likes of ISO 27001, NIST, ASD E8 and others.
• Own the coordination of Security Reviews and Penetration Testing activities.
• Contribute to Security Architecture designs and patterns.
• Provide insights, facilitate workshops, make recommendations, be agile, mentor and utilise your experience.
To ensure this is the best use of your time, we would require the following:
• Around five years minimum within a Security Architecture, Consulting, Assurance, Testing style position. Preferably FS related, but not a must.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Be able to perform Security Risk Assessments and Testing, take the results and explain Risks back to the business.
• Develop Vulnerability mitigation plans.
• Exposure to Cloud, any provider.
• Be able to take ownership, look at the 'bigger picture' and collaborate well until closure.
