Job Description About the Role As the Cloud Services Manager at ASOS, you will deliver a highly available and resilient Cloud Operations Service. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a brilliant team of Infrastructure and Cloud engineers, as well as a wider department of like minded colleagues. This is a cross-functional role, and you'll be shaping and delivering our Cloud operations team alongside the wider Tech Ops team, to deliver a highly available, secure, resilient and frictionless service that keeps our Website, App and fulfilment centres online 24/7. This is a hybrid role based in our London office. What You'll Be Doing You will manage all aspects of our Cloud Services in Microsoft Azure and On-Premise Infrastructure across our offices and Fulfilment Centres 24/7. You will be responsible for the monitoring of the overall performance and health of the Cloud operations services, and govern associated activities from incidents, project change, testing & operational acceptance through to commercial and financial management. You will be aligned to ASOS’ evolving business and technical requirements and balance change with the need to protect the integrity and availability of the services. You will be responsible for the Cloud Operations & Engineering team, driving high individual performance and assisting them in their personal and professional development, ensuring that all demand is allocated and managed appropriately. You’ll also work with 3rd parties, stakeholders, customers and look after the budgets for your team to deliver a Lean, efficient organisation. Key responsibilities include: • Day to day technical leadership and line management of a team of Infrastructure & Cloud Engineers • Managing the life cycle of Services: implementation and transition to support while continuing to provide escalation for incident & problem resolution and End of Life (EoL) tracking • Owning our Cloud services, assisting in the creation of a Cloud Operations Strategy and developing a continuous roadmap aligned with business priorities • Work on projects focused on the overall improvement of ASOS’s operational technologies • Providing 24/7 operational and support capabilities across Cloud operations and it’s services • Improving the Cloud Ops landscape consistency and efficiency through automation (Azure DevOps, Functions and PowerApps) • Hands-on technical work with direct oversight over on-going operations, problem-solving leadership, system upgrades and time-critical operational troubleshooting • Management of the Cloud Ops & Engineering budget, identify cost savings working with our procurement team, 3rd Parties, stakeholders & customers. • Partner with leaders and teams across ASOS to share your knowledge and drive organisational change and improvement • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies Qualifications Who We'd Like to Meet This role requires strong technical and delivery leadership plus an excellent ability to deal with changing priorities. You will be experienced in managing Cloud operations, projects & suppliers, holding suppliers to account for their defined responsibilities, and tracking service performance against defined SLAs. You will be able to understand technical and operational impacts of Cloud services change, deprecations and refreshes, applying due diligence and mitigations appropriate to protect business services. You'll have: • Demonstrable experience in managing production 24/7 high-availability multi-site, & cloud-based IaaS & SaaS environments including but not limited to: Microsoft Azure, VMware, Microsoft 365, Akamai, and Citrix • Azure Cost management experience • Experience working in a fast paced, DevOps environment. • Experience with service monitoring, alerting and recovery in a demanding environment • Strong capability to work successfully in cross functional teams • Enthusiasm to lead, support and develop a technical team towards success in their projects and individual careers • The ability to plan the implementation of disruptive tasks through communication and change management.
