Elixir Senior Software Engineer - Global Quantitative Hedge Fund
A global Quantitative Hedge Fund is hiring a senior software engineer in their newly restructured functional programming team. The firm is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in Elixir or Erlang to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Software Engineer at the firm, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining their new greenfield high-performance platform, this would involve taking the applications to the next level and accelerate the firms time to market.
Responsibilities:
• Lead in the design, implementation, and deployment of the firms next generation infrastructure platform.
• Work as part of global engineers to improve existing systems/ codes and develop new greenfield systems to support trading activities.
• Communicate directly with senior stakeholders and work directly with traders and researchers to identify solutions or create technical specifications to later on develop.
Requirements:
• Years of experience working with Elixir or Erlang and exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript
• A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years experience working in the finance would be a bonus
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with stakeholders around the world.
• Strong desire to learn and capable of independently driving projects to completion.
