As part of the growth of the Talent Initiatives team, the Manager, Talent programmes will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing programmes that support the growth and development of young talents, providing them with opportunities to excel academically, explore career paths, and develop essential skills. The goal is to inspire young talents to join Hong Kong’s innovation & technology (I&T) ecosystem – and help build Hong Kong into a global I&T talent hub that draws Hong Kong, Mainland and overseas I&T talent.
The Position
• Strategically plan, oversee, and implement a range of talent programmes for university and secondary school students
• Collaborate with local and overseas tertiary institutions, youth organizations, quasi-government organisations to establish partnerships and coordinate talent programmes and internship opportunities
• Work closely with industry professionals, mentors, and experts to provide students with exposure to I&T experiences and career opportunities
• Supervise and support the team to develop publicity plans, recruit and place youth talents into jobs and internships, manage programme logistics, liaise with internal stakeholders and other ecosystem stakeholders
• Prepare and manage proposals, budgets and reports of programmes and events
• Track post-programme data analytics, collect feedback from stakeholders, analyse programme effectiveness, and identify areas of improvement
• Lead Support other HR projects as assigned by supervisors
The Candidate
• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing or relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in programme management, youth development, marketing, event & project management
• Able to think strategically and start something from scratch, while also strong in project planning and execution in a fast-paced environment, to deliver solid results
• Experience in handling events & group activities will be advantageous
• A self-motivated team player with a proactive, responsible, and positive working attitude; being passionate about people and talent
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking capabilities
• An effective communicator with excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putongua
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Manager, Talent Programmes
