Opportunity for an Applied Scientist skilled in NLP to be part of life-improving high-impact research in a healthcare start-up (20+ employees).
The ideal candidate will want to use AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMS) to solve challenging NLP problems and have an interest in the biomedical industry to transform the way machines process biomedical information to revolutionize clinical trials.
About you:
• Experienced in designing, building, and deploying NLP Models
• Applied Transformer-based deep-learning techniques to challenging problems
• Fluency in Python and experience in ML frameworks e.g. PyTorch and Hugging Face
• Publicized deep-learning papers in NLP conferences
• Proficiency in distributed ML Frameworks e.g. Deep Speed and FSDP
You will be working alongside medical professionals and an experienced AI team where publicizing findings is highly encouraged. Currently, they have 18 state-of-the-art deep learning publications and 606 in the biomedical space. You can expect flexible and fast-paced work to design, build, evaluate, and deploy algorithms and models for the extraction of medical information, analyze performance and conduct research, and publish and present your findings at scientific venues. This opportunity is hands-on, you will be involved end-to-end with the product across research, development, implementation, training, and inference programs.
