We are currently seeking a skilled Database Architect/Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in designing a cutting-edge, cloud-based data solution to enhance our clients' data repository. Your responsibilities will encompass recommending standards, tools, and capabilities, drawing from your extensive research on various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. Collaborating closely with project technical leads, you will implement strategy and architectural designs, taking a lead role in planning, designing, and deploying hybrid on-premises and cloud architecture solutions.
Qualifications
Over 5 years of hands-on experience in database modeling, utilizing the latest technologies and services both in the cloud and on-premises.
More than 3 years of specialized experience in database architecture and design.
Over 5 years of practical involvement in designing, implementing, or consulting on technical architectures and applications deployed across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This includes proficiency with leading cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Over 5 years of experience in system or architecture administration, encompassing configuring networks, containerization, virtual machines, system installations, and software installations.
Extensive experience (5+ years) in user management, system configuration, Python scripting, system and database sizing, and articulating storage needs.
Proficiency with multiple operating systems and languages, with a focus on planning and implementing large-sized databases utilizing both Relational Data models and NoSQL data models.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex data query procedures and scripts spanning multiple databases.
Familiarity with fully managed databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Dynamo DB).
Knowledgeable in Cloud database technology, Openstack, and Cloud 9.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Clearance
A current active IRS MBI (Public Trust) Clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
