Position: Database Specialist - Contract
Designing / Solutioning / Provisioning of DBA Support as per the Project needs
- To analyze, plan, co-ordinate, create and support database related activities that includes tasks across the full SDLC environments, from Dev to PROD.
- To work with development team to understand the database requirements and suggest the suitable designs/procedures
- To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like Unix Administrators, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules
- To be able to plan, implement, monitor, report & deliver various key Project requirements
- Drive/Deliver automation in the environment provisioning, health checks & upgrades
• * Requirements**:
- At least 15 years IT experience, preferably spread across development and core infrastructure with Oracle 12c/19c, with banking/financial domain experience a plus
- At least 5 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL coding
- Extensive knowledge with Oracle RMAN backup recovery, Patching, Upgrade, Flashback, Data Guard, Database Tuning
- Oracle database troubleshooting
- Experience working in Unix environments (Solaris/RHEL)
- Proficient in Unix shell scripting
- Database and SQL performance tuning
- Knowledge of Python and Power Shell is an added advantage
- Unix/Windows Basic administration
