**J**ob Overview*
• *Essential Functions**
- Build and maintain production infrastructure to ensure scalability and high-availability while maximising development team efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to the product and the infrastructure.
- Perform automated deployments to create new or update existing production/staging environments.
- Be responsible for packaging and distribution of our custom software libraries.
- Building Continuous Integration and Delivery for all Micro-services.
- Provide insights into scalability and maintenance to developers.
- Drive improvement across the entire HealthBeats engineering software development lifecycle.
- Automation, automation, automation.
- Manage AWS infrastructure, including monthly patching and cost optimisation
- Manage and improve monitoring infrastructure for Production environments.
- Manage releases and automate builds and deployments.
- Comfortable working with distributed teams.
- Strong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologies.
• *Expected Areas of Competence**
- Proficient in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Experience with virtualisation / containerisation for both development and production environments.
- Strong in Linux & and network administration, such as apache/ nginx/ mysql.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools.
- Proficient with Github integration.
- Proficient with Linux and bash.
- Docker Administration - Capable to automate docker using docker-compose, docker clustering.
- Jenkins Administration.
- Understanding of Firewall, DNS, SSL, etc.
• *Education/ Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- At least 5 years DevOps relevant experiences.
- Strong software technical background.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of web security frameworks and data structures.
- Working knowledge of healthcare industry data structure, standards and requirements is an added advantage.
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL DB will be added advantage
