Technology Summer Day camp running programs for 5 to 13-year-olds. Join our exciting and dynamic team at our technology summer day camp! We are currently seeking friendly and organized individuals to help run a variety of camps. If you have expertise in one or more of these areas, administering Minecraft JAVA LAN games with mods, video editing, media and animation, LEGO Robotics systems like Mindstorm or First Robotics League, or the Pokemon Trading card game with arts and crafts skills, we want to hear from you! As a camp counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with kids and ignite their interest in learning and creativity. Patience is key, as you will be guiding and supporting campers throughout their journey. This position requires a commitment to the full 8-week camp period, Monday to Friday, full day. Please note that vacations outside of weekends are not available during this short-term contract. We have three locations in the Toronto area where we are hiring, and you will be assigned to one of these locations. Before applying, please ensure that the commute time and distance to one of these locations are feasible for you, as this is not a remote job position. Location 1 Toronto West 85 The Kingsway, Etobicoke. (near Royal York and Bloor subway station) Location 2 Toronto North 131 Farnham Ave., Toronto. (De La Salle College, near Avenue Rd, and St. Clair) Location 3 North York 49 Bogert Ave, North York (Near Young St. and Sheppard Ave.) Looking for a College or University student or recent graduate preferred. Experience working with children preferred. Experience with geeky computer activities is an asset. Candidates may be completing their last year of high school to apply. If younger than this you may qualify to work with us as a co-op student and earn high school credits or volunteer hours. Dates: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5 pm July 2nd to August 23rd. must be available every weekday during this period. 8 weeks, Full day, this isn't shift work like a fast food restaurant. Upon being offered a position, candidates will be required to provide a police background check certificate and a valid First Aid Certification.
